League Of Women Voters Lunch With A Leader Nov. 17 Features Local Racial Justice Advisory Group

LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS NEWS

The League of Women Voter’s virtual Lunch with a Leader program Tuesday, Nov. 17 will feature a group of four people who have been active in the newly founded Racial Justice Advisory Action Group founded last spring. They are Erin Green, Mike Adams, Tina deYoe, and Andrea Determan. The meeting will begin at 12 p.m.

The group is composed of local Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) as well as white allies. They have supported the youth-organized Black Lives Matter, and they have organized a demonstration abut civic engagement where people were invited to write letters to elected officials about issues related to race. Their mission is “Racial Justice Los Alamos disrupts systems of racism in the community of Los Alamos and creates opportunities for equity.”
