The Southwest Science Writers Association is looking currently holding a contest to find a new logo. The prize is $300 for the design selected and there will also be a People’s Choice Award for the most popular design.

Entries may be submitted at https://forms.gle/YtykCBd3WjgLVovE7. There is no entry fee and anyone can enter. The deadline is Oct. 15.

The SWSWA is a group of science communicators from all over the Southwest including Los Alamos and White Rock who meet for professional development. The Southwest is important to scientists for its ecology and natural resources, and is also well-known for the basic science and national security research that takes place in the region.
