Los Alamos County Clerk Mails Out Absentee Ballot Applications For Nov. 3 General Election

In preparation for the 2020 General Election Monday, Sept. 14, the Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office began mailing absentee ballot applications to those voters who did not already have an accepted and processed application on file.

Voters are reminded to please keep an eye out for this important mailing. View a sample of the letter on the County Clerk web page, or by using the following link: https://bit.ly/2ZBUYiQ.

Residents are encouraged to contact the Clerk’s Office with any questions regarding election related mail.

Voters, should they choose to do so, may complete and return the application to the County Clerk’s Office as soon as possible, but no later than Tues. Oct. 20.

“As the COVID-19 public health crisis continues, for your health and safety and that of your neighbor, I strongly encourage voters to please vote from the comfort and security of your home,” Clerk Maestas said.

Voters are reminded they may view additional 2020 General Election voting options on their web page (www.losalamosnm.us/clerk).

To date, the County Clerk’s Office has processed 3,230 applications. Only one application is needed per voter; if you have already submitted an application, you may check your application status at www.NMVote.org.

Voters who have not received an application, may apply online using the NM Secretary of State Voter Information Portal www.NMVote.org.

Applications can also be picked up at their designated Drop-Box / Information table area outside the Clerk’s Office. Applications may also be downloaded from their web page (www.losalamosnm.us/clerk).
