PROJECT Y NEWS

New membership available to teachers in this unprecedented time of remote school

projectY cowork Los Alamos has announced a new membership plan available to teachers to help with remote learning this school year. The new plan includes 24/7 access to the space, located at 150 Central Park Square, and 10 hours per month for use of the conference room. projectY cowork offers high-speed internet access, white boards and is air conditioned; a great workspace for those requiring an area to plan, grade, meet or record lessons. The coworking space can also be an option for students seeking an alternative to participating in their remote classroom activities from home.

Membership financial assistance is available through the “Working Local” Scholarship, sponsored by Century Bank. Previously targeting entrepreneurs, remote workers and others who needed access to the coworking space, the application is now also open to teachers. Applications will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 10, after which one or more scholarships will be awarded to an individual(s) living or working in Los Alamos. Those interested in applying should fill out a short application found on the projectY cowork blog at www.projectYLosAlamos.com.
