As part of Winterfest activities, residents are invited to join the Los Alamos County Council for the annual lighting of the holiday tree in the main lobby of the Municipal Building in downtown Los Alamos on Saturday, Dec. 7. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the tree lighting takes place at 5:30 p.m.

There will be free hot cocoa and cookies, plus, an opportunity to take a selfie photo with a Winterfest themed backdrop and props. Doors close at 6 p.m. when the holiday lights parade begins on Central Avenue.
