The Xi Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, will host their annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. at the Crossroads Bible Church, 97 East Road. The 32nd annual event will represent four of the local Beta Sigma Phi chapters and will feature more than 35 vendors.

 There are new and returning vendors with art and crafters displaying jewelry, quilts, sewing, woodworking items, tie dye shirts, fragrances and more. Some names you know return once again to a craft fair that feels like a community meeting. Kathy Hjerson, Stephanie Hegelberg, David Pelowitz, Marlene Martinez and Ronnie Lavin are just a few of the old friends with new items, to indulge your mood lifting addiction. 

Xi Nu lifetime member and professional quilter, Alice Garcia has the handmade raffle prize of the day. Her very own quilt, is the grand prize at day’s end. Raffle tickets are available for $1 each of 6 for $5. The table vendors donate an item, and drawings are done multiple times throughout the day. The winner does not need to be present to claim their prize. 

The sisters, with their, “sweetness of spirit,” donate their funds to charities locally, regionally and nationally. Self Help, Champions of Youth Ambitions, Senior Appreciation Night and the Robotics club, along with the Adopt-a-Family, the American Red Cross, Heritage for the Blind and American Cancer Society have been tried and true recipients for many years. 

Women are welcome to speak with members about the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. All local chapters for the non-academic, friendship and service organization, welcome additional members. The BSP sorority was founded 1931 and extends internationally with over 20,000 chapters.
