The Office of Medical Investigator has identified the passenger in the Sept. 26 plane crash in the Pecos Wilderness in Mora County as Eric Page, 29, of Littleton, Colo. Earlier this month the pilot of the planes was identified as Nicholas Peterson, 29, also of Littleton.

New Mexico State Police was notified Sept. 26 that the plane had gone missing after taking off from Santa Fe Airport. The two men were last seen refueling and taking off from Santa Fe but air traffic lost contact with the plane.

A search and rescue was initiated by New Mexico State Police.  New Mexico Civil Air Patrol, a New Mexico Army National Guard helicopter and NM Search and Rescue ground teams searched the area of the last known location of the airplane’s emergency beacon.  A search was conducted in the Santa Fe National Park and the Pecos Wilderness.

On Sept. 30 after a three-day intensive search, New Mexico State Police and a NM Search and Rescue ground team located the crash site. FAA officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
