State Rep. Chris Chandler and County Lobbyist Scott Scanland  provided an overview of the 2019 Legislative Session Tuesday evening to Los Alamos County Council during the Council work session in White Rock. Chandler’s presentation included discussion of SB11, the gross receipts tax bill that will greatly benefit Los Alamos. Chandler said she was honored to be a co-sponsor of the bill which had unanimous approval. Among other legislation discussed by Chandler was the internet sales tax legislation which she shaid will benefit Los Alamos greatly because of the community’s isolation and lack of shopping options. She also mentioned how pleased she was that she was able to obtain capital outlay funds to support affordable housing and health office needs in Los Alamos.
