A serious multiple vehicle accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. near the twin tanks at the bottom of the Main Hill Road.

Traffic is reduced to one lane and backed up all the way into Los Alamos and through White Rock to Pajarito Acres.

Conditions at the scene would indicate that clearing the roadway may take some time. Los Alamos Police Department is encouraging drivers to avoid the route for while if possible.

Multiple Santa Fe County Sheriff’s vehicles were present on the scene as well as emergency medical services.
