Los Alamos County Finance Department staff were honored by Los Alamos County Council Sept. 25 during their regular session for three recent awards they earned from the Governance Finance Officers Association. The Department received the GFAO’s Distinguished Budget Award for its FY2018 Budget. This is the 26th year the Department has achieved the award. In announcing the award, the GFOA said it represents a significant achievement by the County and reflects the commitment of the County and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. The Department also received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 27th time and the Pupular Annual Financial Report Certificate of Achievement.
