Pinon And Chamisa Elementary Schools On Lockout As LAPD Looks For Driver of Stolen Vehicle

UPDATE – 10:45 a.m. – Lockouts have been lifted.

Los Alamos Police Chief Dino Sgambellone said officers are searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle located in White Rock by LAPD Cpl. David Boe.

Chief Sgambellone said Chamisa and Pinon Elementary Schools officials were notified of the situation. Pinon Principal Ivanna Austell has emailed parents notifying them that the school has entered into a “brief lockout until the situation is resolved. Her email states that she will message again once the lockout is over.

Chamisa parents have also been notified of a lockout until the situation is resolved.
